Next year Artemis 2 is going to take 4 astronauts farther than any human has ever gone before. It’s the next step in NASA’s 3-part Artemis Program, which will land humans back on the moon for the first time in 50 years. Here's how the program works and why do it...

Hint: MARS.

*In a previous version of this video, I mistakenly said "2002" not "2022". It's fixed now!

Nasa gotta use 16k cameras before the conspiracy theorists say "hey that isn't right it's blurry"

I’m glad we are finally naming lunar missions after moon deities instead of sun deities

What I love about the moon mission, and my NASA loving kid told me, is that the first mission in 1969 was on the Apollo rocket. When we go back it will be on the Artemis, which in mythology, was Apollo’s twin 😃

It’s a lie that it’ll be the longest journey a human will ever be on, my Asian parents went even further on their way to school 😤

As someone who works for a company that has built stuff for the Orion Spacecraft, I can't wait to see this work.

This here, is our generation's legacy. This is the kind of stuff that we'll tell stories about to our grandchildren.

Born in August of 1957, I was nearly 12 when my family and I watched the first moon landing. Can't wait to see it all in high-res color video vs. low-res black & white TV.

I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since the first Artemis launch. Maybe all this cool space stuff is a little closer than I thought

Just an FYI this is totally different from our first moon landings, we are using new tech and new tactics which will give us vital info for Mars landing. In other words, this moon landing or mission is a whole test designed to help us prepare for the Mars landing.

There is very interesting documentary by Ido Mizrahy "The Longest Goodbye" which goes in depth about the other side of problems with missions like going to the Mars - in that there are not only technical nuances but also psychological ones. It is possible that, even when we will be technicaly ready for making that journey - astronauts will not. The problem with not being able to connect with family in real time, leaving everything behind on Earth, but also being trapped on a very small space, for that amount of time, with few other people that you can't escape from creates great great issues for our minds. There are people already chosen for this mission that are being trained to deal with all those difficulties, but psychologist are still not sure if they could make it. There is some hope in using VR technology to transfer their minds "home" to talk to their families (as in pre-recorded messages) and get a rest from workspace but it's still very much work (idea) in progress.

I wish there would be more worldwide attention to this amazing milestone but instead the world hasn't even figured out how to properly do politics
