Couldn't agree more for years I've used the Monster Bass Guitar Cable as my lead guitar cable. Gives me thicker palm mutes, and not as much bite on the high end.

I got a d'addario american stage instrument cable, like one of the cables to advise on your last couple of videos and I could hear the clear difference right away thank you so much for your help and what you do to help alot of us around the world

My primary instrument cable is a Monster cable that I've been using for a long time now. It's very finicky to solder this cable since it doesn't have copper strands for it's conductor, it has copper foil. It was a cable offered by Fender in the 90's, and I replaced one of the jacks with a Switchcraft jack that shorts out the cable when you unplug it from the guitar so there is no buzzing. It was hard to solder, but it made a big difference in the fidelity of the sound of my guitar compared to the Belden cables I used before it.

Would a 5ft cable be ideal for someone that just play guitar at home or is it still better to get a 10ft instead?

Are you able to list the cables you spoke about? :)

Hello Mason! Thanks for the suggestions about Mogami W2524. I am an acoustic player with several pickup sources. I need to make one strange cable with a 5 pin XLR to four mono 6.35mm jacks. Do you have any suggestions for multi-core cable used in this situation?

Defintiely looking to someday assembly my own cables. But being a bit new to this whole thing on cables, how would I approach multieffects pedals?

I just got a Mogami W2524 cable and I’m thinking about making them for my church, can I use them for basses, acoustic, and other instruments too or are there different cables I should be using for different instruments?

HI! Is more volume a sign of qualitiy? I use Klotz Funkmaster, Evidence lyric HG and LaBoga Selective Pro. With archtop and acoustic guitars. So I need Lowsm Mids and nice upper mids. I tend to choose the cable I like the most, instead the most overall frequency. In the moment the LaBoga over the Evidence - because it's missing some "bad" frequencies - but its less volume in DB. So I'm confused after testing 3 cables and getting tired ; )

Hi doc. Is there any possibility to buffering inside the guitar with any circuitry? Or just immediately after the output jack of the instrument? Tnx!

If you were hitting a fuzz first, then a buffer, would you use a regular patch cable after the fuzz or would you make a instrument cable to hit the buffer? thanks

Recently I bought a green Fender Festival Instrument Cable. Looks amazing! Hahaha..
Other then that, I have no idea of its capacitance.

I’ve been using an Amboz Red Dragon cable and have been super happy with it so far. Curious if anyone else has tried it?

Hey Mason, off-topic question: my primary amp is a 69 CDR. I just ordered your SS MKii and plan to leave as an “always on” tone shaper. Should I put it before my drive pedals or closer to he amp?
