One of your tips that helped us the most was that you can only buy a certified pre-owned car from the same company. We just bought a 2019 Highlander with like 8k miles, but when I was looking I found so many at dealerships that were really a waste of our time because they weren’t certified. Thank you for mentioning the keys! We bought a used Tahoe andwe were told they'd find us the other key (they only had one). After we bought the car, we were told there was only one key. They eventually had another key made for free but only after alot of back and forth. I wish I had known to insist on the other key BEFORE we made the purchase.

I like this tip to look for the correct used vehicle, which suits your needs, budget and lifestyle from The Car Mom. When you go for a test drive, always make sure you go with the traffic on both city streets and highways, whether if they are going the speed limit or speeding a bit, either 10 to 30 km/h over or 5 to 20 MPH over, most likely in urban areas. But, do not be excessive on the road. Always focus on your own task at hand and not worry about others, except to stop for pedestrians (if necessary) to cross the road or for emergency vehicles, when their lights or sirens are flashing. I am thinking to buy an older, 2004 to 2009 Nissan Quest 3.5 SE minivan with the five-speed automatic transmission for my first vehicle, that will get myself from point A to point B, one of these days.
