Higurashi: When They Cry - SOTSU in 2021 was about three years after the Visual Novel came to the Nintendo Switch which might explain some of the finger snapping kill scenes since the finger snap was the iconic sound of the Nintendo Switch and it's upcoming successor.

Sadly, the game was published by Entergram, whom never release Nintendo Switch games outside of Japan.
