Wallachia is a beast of a nation in Victoria 3 which, with a little elbow grease and intelligent war, can become an insanely powerful nation. In this guide, I'll be showing you how to play as Wallachia and form Romania, as well as the rare Danube State tag. We don't use anything particularly cheesy in this run, instead relying on some AI manipulation, and smart industrialization.

Romania as a region is a surprisingly powerful place. It has tons of peasants and resources that can supercharge a growing economy. Thanks to its huge peasant population, it can raise a huge number of conscripts that can win just about any way, at the cost being very expensive.

In my recent game as greece, i took up Russias offer to join its bloc. i invested heavily into playing tall and becoming the top produce of several goods. 15-20 years later, russia had an aristocratic revolt which reduced its prestige to below mine, and 1 year later, i became the new leader of the bloc.
So i would highly recommend joining the respective blocs if you get invited by russia or prussia, because its easy to overtake them in prestige.

Wallachia is one of the best high gdp states in eastern europe when I play ottomans it was my #1-2 gdp state in most runs

I wonder how do you feel about 1.7 Publicly Traded. Before the patch it used to be kinda garbage by simply increasing the number of capitalists employed in a building, in a weird anti-labour saving move, that had no effect on overall investment pool, and decreased profitability of all buildings (by paying more wages to capitalists), but now it allows you to significantly shifts employment of financial sectors. Do you use it?

You get a lot of the tiny split states in Russia and Ottomans for free if you do the Moldavia union. It helps to get the coast access very quickly.

I also found that provoking a landowner civil war helped a lot. At the beginning, you will definitely win because the Ottomans can crush your rebellion

Suggestion: Do a trade empire with Oman. I keep trying to pull it off but Persia stomps me on 1.7 now. And UK/EIC are right behind them

Lot's of fun new tags come from changing governments. Rome is pretty fun. Just switch the Papal States government
