Entrepreneur Rita Chang draws inspiration from her mother's past to change the way we think about clothes for a more sustainable future.
In our world of excessive consumption and fast fashion, how can we slow it down? What's in it for us? After witnessing poor working conditions at textile factory tours in Asia, Rita created her own major in "Social Responsibility in the Apparel Industry" at the University of Delaware. She then moved to Taiwan for Nike's Sustainable Manufacturing & Sourcing team, where she led the introduction of the Nike Materials Sustainability Index to global teams and 1000+ suppliers. She recently earned her Wharton MBA in “Strategy and Management of Global Supply Chains.” During her Under Armour MBA internship, she further developed the sustainability strategy for material suppliers.
