good luck Ro! i've always watched your videos when i felt a little burnt out. a career in psychology or neuroscience is a dream to me and watching you has always got me back up and motivated and eager to achieve that dream soon, although i'm only a junior in high school so i have quite a long way to go :") i hope you get the break and rest you deserve and have a lot of fun, love you lots <3

Ro you'll be fine and shall definitely continue to rock. I followed your channel some two years ago and it was amazing to see you being such a breath of fresh air. I love that you are taking this step and being courageous. My best wishes to you, take care and hope to meet you in person some day. And I love that song "To Brazil". Since you are going there just dance your way through to this song. Happy journey!

Hi, what an open, honest and vulnerable video - thanks so much for sharing where you’re currently at 🥰 I discovered your channel just before starting my Hons year, and I’m starting my Clinical Psychology course this year. So, in a way, we’re both beginning something new this year (albeit in a different way to each other). I want to echo others’ sentiment: I hope you keep safe, recharge and maybe find what you’re looking for in Brazil (and if not, that’s okay too) ❤

This is the first video I've come across from your channel and I can feel your pain about the burnout. I practice down in the Gong and let me tell you there are days where I want to book a one way ticket and never come back. I was fortunate to get my travelling done in between uni breaks and between jobs. It sounds like a well-deserved sabbatical and you will always be apart of the psych community. Safe Travels Ro.

So happy for you that you are taking time off for yourself and to travel :) I've been watching your videos since starting my psych journey and have gained so much from them - but what has always impressed me most is your courage in being open about mental health as a psych, I think it's so important and not talked about enough! It's part of the reason I chose to go down the org psych rather than clin psych path this year - it was a tough choice but psych has a way to go in terms of protecting the wellbeing of its own members in what is a really challenging profession. Wishing you a safe, refreshing and awesome travel experience and time away!!

Congratulations on your sabbatical and I hope you thrive on your new journey! May this opportunity be filled with new experiences and relaxation! I've been watching your videos for a long time now, as a psych student myself and I will really miss your content, but it's nice that you're taking a break to travelling.

By the way, you will absolutely LOVE Brazil. I'm Brazilian, never left my country and I love it. If you're ever on Rio de Janeiro, hit me up and I can show you some of the best beaches, cool museums and pubs and everything Rio de Janeiro has to offer to a local :)

Dear Ro, I only started watching your videos this evening. I have empathy for you, whilst I don't work in the same industry as you, I was probably about your age when I decided the same fate and quit my job. it was an incredibly hard decision but no regrets from it because the travel opened my mind and allowed me to grow emotionally. I learned a lot about myself and when I returned I picked up where I left things, however in a more clearer and energised manner. If I hadn't made that brave step I don't think I would be where I am at! So, anyway, good luck with your travels! ❤

I've been following your channel for a while and I love your content. But we all need a break now and then. May you find a direction and be very happy!

So nice to hear about your journey and courage. I did a similar thing and don’t regret any part of it. There is more to life than career ❤

Love that you’re taking time for yourself!! It would be so cool to see you start a second channel just for your traveling if that’s something you’re interested in. But either way wish u the best 🥳

Hi Ro, I'm glad you are taking an opportunity to follow your dreams of traveling to Brazil. It's easy to become burnout and experience compassion fatigue as a helping professional, thanks for bringing awareness to this. Excited to see how this new chapter in your life goes ❤️

I have just decided to peruse a career in psychology and bumped in to your Q&A video from 2 years ago and this was underneath it. Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts on this. ❤
