Why Bashing The CBC Might Suddenly Be An Election-Winning Strategy

I can’t name a single person I know that watches CBC News or any CBC programs. Why the hell are they getting 1.2 BILLION dollars???

What little respect I had left for the CBC died with the Freedom Convoy and it's completely lopsided reporting on it. It went from being "liberal-biased" all the way to full "liberal propaganda agency".

A good friend of mine died of liver cancer last year. His death was preceded by 4 years of waiting in queues for 3 to 6 months each, immersed in misery and suffering, waiting for the next appointment with a specialist or MRI, etc. When they finally concluded that he needed a transplant, they also told him he was ineligible! He was no longer strong enough to survive the procedure!
I believe all those CBC Billion$ would have produced far better results in our feeble Healthcare system? But what do I know? I'm just a brokenhearted mourner with 1 less friend 😢

Independent news rating agencies say that at the very least the CBC leans left.
IF they were truly unbiased they would have both points of view on each and every issue they discuss. Instead they have an "expert" from the left give his opinion and then proceed to assist said expert in degrading the callers viewpoint if it differs from their own.

That money could go towards other things that would benefit all canadian citizens, not just a selected few!.

Public broadcasters made sense in a time where private media outlets were unwilling or unable to provide adequate local coverage for people in less populated areas.

Today, even sparsely populated places can get access to online news that is more relevant to them than the "local" CBC broadcast.

Cut them loose and let them find their way as a private news outlet.

We should have a serious review of crown corporations against the private companies providing similar services at lower prices with improved efficiency. The taxes that could be cut would be significant.
