The confrontation between Butcher and Ryan starts smoothly and was wholesome to watch, later in this scene Grace tells Ryan about how they have planned to separate him from Homelander, and how they want to use him to end Homelander once and for all. Which Ryan disagrees to and flees the scene after throwing Grace against the wall.

Forcing him to stay there, locking him up in a basement, destroying his trust in butcher and training him to kill his dad was such a dumb plan, what did they expect?

Plot induced stupidity. This whole time Grace has been shown to be the cool, calm, collected associate of the team. For her to just get so desperate to kill Homelander that she’d completely flip on Ryan plus be so dumb as to think putting him in the same situation as his father wouldn’t shatter Ryan’s trust in them, the writer’s just got impatient to set up the next part of Ryan’s arc.

I’ve been saying this from the start, this show needs 13-episode seasons to really flesh everything out. Plus we need more of the Boys targeting and neutralizing other superhero teams.

What worries me about this isn't that they failed to convince Ryan, but rather Ryan who earlier in the season killed a guy by pushing him too hard but now when he pushes Grace too hard against a VERY strong wall it did less damage. He's learning to control his strength, and they just failed to convince him.

Butcher made a huge mistake by not telling Ryan, truth about Homelander sooner.

Once again Butcher is the only one who knows the score and what to do.

1. Killed his mother (was on accident due to loss of control of his powers)
2. Koy was third degree murder (was reckless and didn’t mean to kill
3.Mallory was second degree murder (killed at the heat of the moment)
That’s already 2 murders Ryan has to pay for someday, idk why people overlook that

i mean, keeping him hostage, he asked you to get out of his way multiple times and you didn’t listen knowing he’s stronger than you. sounds like she got what was comin to her

I hate it when its written he kills grace. Ryan respected grace & grace was trying to get too much from a child.
Ryan told them to let him think about it.. also the fact that grace wanted to trap him against his wishes he just pushed her but the thing is he doesn't know his strength.. if you remember he pushed a guy during that bank scene and he was all splattered on the wall & when ryan pushes graces he pulls his powers back (grace isnt splattered) but the instead her neck breaks when she hit at the wall . Ryan tried to held back his power but it was still strong enough to kill her

Well, that was an unsatisfying conclusion for a character

What if all of this was the tumour hallucination to push Butcher to say yes

He might still be in his regular hospital bed, could be a neat S5 reveal that Grace is alive and well Ryan never even came to visit him

She bought it to herself no lying ✋ why would she force some kid in a corner and lock him in there and tell him to kill his own dad that’s really dumb in my opinion if she let him think then he could’ve helped but she couldn’t bother moving out of his way so

In all fairness, she committed suicide via ryan. Overloaded him with too much truth, and she didn't give him time to process the information . Then, she tried to lock him up in that bunker. If a superabled kid asks you to move out the way. You move out the way.

Well, if Ryan is definitely turned to Dark Side, why we didn't see him come back to Homelander????

Im not a parent, but locking a kid in a room and telling him he's not allowed out until he does what he's told doesn't go well at all
