In St John’s Wood, London, eviction specialist Paul Shamplina helps a landlord with a particularly aggressive pair of antisocial tenants. In Blackburn a block of flats in disrepair, broken doors, violent behaviour, and residents feeling unsafe. In Blackpool letting agent John Bartram visits a property in a terrible state, with a missing door leading to the discovery of a thief stealing electricity. And in Walthamstow, landlords Gulam and Amir struggle with a guaranteed rent agreement and the shifty letting agents.

This series follows the eviction specialists whose job it is to tackle tenants who can’t, or won’t pay the rent, and local authority housing offices tasked with going after rogue landlords. We also follow the work letting agents dealing with problem tenants. From a weed farm in a three-bedroom Blackburn semi, to drug addicts in a Blackpool bedsit, to 25 migrants squeezed into a suburban London home, Nightmare Tenants Slum Landlords, delves into dark side of Britain’s housing crisis.

3:27 I don't understand all the people who say 'my house' when they are renting! I'm flabbergasted. They actually think it's their house!

I’ve always been a great tenant, pay my rent on time, clean, considerate and good to my neighbours. It’s not difficult. Why there are so many people are bad tenants I don’t know.

That was so kind of Paul to help Wendy find and sell her flat. Nice guy.

Judge giving the tenants a counter claim after all the complaints and nonsense, the system is broken...

5:00 It's simple, the guy in the dressing gown is a bully. He picked on the young lady landlord because he knew he could get away with it. Now I know how these shows work, the stitch and match different parts together to make whoever look bad. But even so, the woman looks stressed to breaking point, and that isn't somewhere anyone should be.

The "Guaranteed Rent" thing should be a red flag. They are saying that they guarantee rent payments even if the tenant hasn't paid their rent. It's not sustainable and doesn't even make sense

Glad I own my house, because before that I never met an honest landlord - then the landlords next door always dodged responsibilities regarding the damage caused by their previous tenants.

Paul Ainsworth is the salt of the earth. I wish him and his wife the best in life. These people are a wonderful asset to their community.

First tenants shouldn't be allowed to live anywhere.

Never rent a property to anyone who uses the term bro, bruv or innit - at least that should eliminate a large proportion of parasites.

"The 2 houses are home to 12 tenants who's rent is paid directly to the agency..by the Council."

I'm sick of hearing people say things like "I've got mental health". If you HAD mental health there wouldn't be a problem. They have mental illness.

yeah i mean when the building is looking the way it looks and the rent is cheap as chips you only attract one type of person, where as if the rent was higher and the building/ grounds were well maintained it would be a different story

Why don’t tenants just behave themselves, it’s just being responsible. If an old lady lived under me, I would respect her comfort and keep her safe, regardless of my own friends. If my friends were loud, I would ask them to leave.

I’m feel so sorry for the landlord that had to go to the high court in London. Twice. I hope she has a positive outcome. Has compassionate and respectful tenants. Maybe a family or elderly couple. Like the elderly woman previously living in such a dreadful flat. Were she experienced such dreadful neighbour. I apologise for the length of this comment. 😢😮(😊😊❤❤❤❤).
