As a new member of Grace Community Church I am so thankful to the Lord for pastors like John that are standing up and giving me a place to worship and serve during these difficult times. I was spiritually and mentally struggling during the pandemic, but now that I am getting involved in church again I have so much more joy in my life. Church is essential!

Dr. MacArthur is a brother in Christ facing genuine persecution. It has been wonderful to see fellow believers offering prayers, financial assistance, letters of appreciation etc. He and others standing up for God 's Word before man's has illuminated the particular need for courage and conviction in the church now!

Just a note. It wasn't MacArthur's decision alone. The elders and he decided together. He's not a "ruler" but an elder among elders. God bless them all and every Christian great and small(in the world's eyes) who will stand for scripture. And scripture IN CONTEXT!

The more I hear people treat ABORTION as the one thing that we cannot make any attempt to address seriously, the more I agree with Peter Kreeft - The U.S. doesn't need revival, it needs EXORCISM. Keller's remarks on abortion in that thread cannot be explained by logic, it is spiritual blindness.

My response to Keller via Twitter: I believe there's an error in logic here. The Bible binds the believer - and the Church - to care for the poor. Offloading that responsibility to the government is functionally sidestepping that command, and abdicating our responsibility to secular/pagan rulers. There is nothing good, wise, or practical about this, as it denies the power of the Kingdom of God to meet the needs of all, and it de facto reduces the Church's influence in these areas. Remove all social welfare from a nation, and you will see churches flooded with aid-seekers. We have to think about how policy helps - or hinders - the advance of the Kingdom. Replacing God as protector, provider, caretaker, and savior with government hinders His Kingdom's advance. Is the Kingdom advancing in Western democracies with big social welfare govs?

AD, I truly believe that you, John Harris, Doug Wilson, James White, John Macarthur, Tom Ascol, and several others have been and are sent by God. And I give God all the glory and thankgiving for this most special, valuable, gracious, and loving gift that is sheading the blinding and cleansing light of Christ in this darkening and degenerate time in which we are currently living on all the false and perverse teachers, ministries, doctrines, and movements.
