QD OLED Monitor Burn In After 2 Months
Alright so it's been over 2 months and 600 hours since MSI sent their MPG 321URX 4K 240Hz QD OLED over to me, and with such a high resolution at just 32” surely considering the complaints about all those images burning into Redditor's first gen QD OLEDs this one would only burn in faster thanks to how close the pixels are, and has it burned in.

Yes! Please provide us an update after 6 months, 1 year, and more!

It's too early for burn in. Give it at least 1 year of mix use and we can discuss it.

I blame pixel shift for the lack of burn in.
These monitors all have pixel overprovisioning and in my opinion every OLED display should take overprovisioning to the extreme, if we had 10% overprovision per axis (10MP vs. 8.3MP, or 21% total extra pixels above 4K) it would be near impossible to burn in an OLED display.

I have all Oled Protection settings, and i also put the msi monitor in peak 1000 mode. I love this monitor, and i got the E2 version with 240 hz refresh rate. Im not worried about burning in at all as i take great care of my tech. I have an LG C1 as my living room tv, and i watch up to 6 hours of movies and shows in HDR, and i haven't had any signs of burn in. I love my Oled TV and my MSI QD Oled monitor.

i've got 1300-1400 hours on my aw3225qf. i do the pixel refresh every four hours or so hide my task bar and have a black background. it's still cleaner than any lcd screan i've ever seen.

Great video, thanks! I purchased the MSI MPG 321urx two days ago and i'm really happy with it, with burn in being my only concern so appreciate your tests.

Did you also use it normally for productivity? Including having the taskbar on all the time

I've been using QD oleds for years now. I use it for 10 hours a day work and games. Never had a hint of burn in. I don't worry about it ever

At 2:31, unless it is a glitch with the youtube compression or camera, there is a distinct line in the middle of the screen which can be seen as either a panel defect or burn in. This type of line is usually seen in 32:9 monitors though.

At this point I think "burn in" argument is for people who have a hard time affording these...

I'm using my WOLED monitor 1 year, 12 hours per day at 40% brightness. It is about 4000+ hours. Not any visible burning at all. Working in Figma, gaming, browsing, movies etc, like regular monitor. Best monitor i've ever had.

Chill dude, there will be no burn in even after 2 years, at least u need to put 5k hours on the panel to notice any minor burn in, chill...

2 months is nothing dude. Report back after 6 months which is when burn in starts to quick in. Source: I can't tell if the burn is from my display or yours lol

Burn in WILL happen. Just matter of time. If you can afford buying expensive monitor every 2 year you don't even have to think about it.

my gigabyte 32" 4k 240hz qd oled monitor i bought recently has 950 hours on it, and mostly displaying hdr, no burn in on mine.
all burn in protection features are on max, they are unobtrusive on the gigabyte, i have my second ips monitor for static content.

YouTube compression ruins solid colors in videos, but I can't notice anything. It'd be helpful seeing this video and stills uncompressed.
