“What if the girl eats a Bible page and has an epic upside down cross on her head?” - David Gordon Green (aged 14) when asked about how the scene should be lit

It’s like they made a list of every single horror/possession trope and put them all in one movie. They’re not even trying anymore…Friedkin will be turning in his grave...

The original is the scariest movie of all time. This trailer alone was giving me the creeps. Yes, I will be seeing this next month.

So David Gordon Green is ruining another franchise 🤔

Perfect thumbnail for the film. Just a silly little film about two girl's friendship.

Took me 3x to watch the original all the way through. My dad did FX make up as a hobby, so I was really exposed to gory and frightening characters. I’m excited to see what this movie brings to the table. Give me aliens, ghosts, gore, all day I’m fine. Anything demonic? That is what scares me!

definitely way better than the first trailer

Why would they rely on the mom from the first one to be all-knowing about how to save them when she had nothing to do with saving her own daughter?? Hollywood is so trash...

Nice touch that they used Regan's scream at 0:33.

Way to destroy a legacy. The world doesn't need this.

No suspense or mystery to this trailer. Shows us everything now and gives viewers less to see and expect when it's time for the theater. Thanks Halloween killer!

The thumbnail makes this look like a family movie 😂

It’s like every angsty teen came together to write and direct a movie

It's almost like they should just leave the original alone, stop making sequels and reboots to stuff and then develop the creative confidence to make an entirely new horror movie that isn't based on an existing beloved movie.

This movie got the rug pulled under it big time 😂 Universal probably thought they had a sure fire hit by releasing a legacy sequel horror movie on Friday the 13th… then Taylor Swift came along and rained on their parade. Honestly it’s pretty hilarious

Can anyone give Blatty some God damn credit. He wrote the book and then the screenplay for Friedkin. The original was awesome, great direction, acting, cinematography and music; but it's all about the source material, the God damn source material. How many times do we all say the book was better than the movie. With the original, I'd call it a tie.
So far the two trailers have me at a can't wait impatience. I don't think I will be disappointed. Burstyn doesn't need the money or the need to make any more movies, therefore I think the source material (the screenplay) convinced her it's not some schlocky money grab. Will it surpass the original? Come now. However, it does look as if everyone involved was striving for a very good thriller/horror movie.

honestly would not be surprised if this ends up being really good.

Okay it's actually hilarious that they're dragging these poor old ladies out for these reboots again and again. I thought it was funny enough that the Texas Chainsaw Massacre final girl gave us nothing, but now we have... Reagan's MOM. Can't wait until Lin Shaye comes back as Random Teacher from Nightmare on Elm Street for the reboot.

Can we also get Brown Granny Panties girl from Friday the 13th Part 2 for the reboot please?
