For those who don’t know, this is written by the writer of The Final Girls, whose father was the priest from The Exorcist, Jason Miller, who watched his father die on film over and over again. So, this seems like a tribute to his father, Jason Miller, in a way. Plus it was originally called Georgetown Project, which is where Exorcist 1 was filmed

This was filmed 5 years ago and was written and directed by Joshua Miller. Son of Jason Miller who was in the original Exorcist. This is his directorial debut and I am extremely interested to see what he's capable of.

Little did William Friedkin know 50 years ago that he and William Peter Blatty would inspire 500, 000 more exorcism movies starting in 1974 and running all the way into 2024 and beyond. None however came close or will ever come close to the OG for many reasons. Primary among them is that none of the imitators understood how it was really Karras's story. Instead they go right for the green eyes, levitating bodies and vomit. I guess possession will always be a fascinating topic.
