The "When you pray for rain, you gotta to deal with the mud too" quote was awesome.

When the villain tries to be badass but gets schooled on what being a badass means. Love it

This scene alone is worth the movie’s entire budget.

"I've Done Some Bad Things In My Life, Nikolai, Things I'm not proud of. I promised someone that I loved very much that I'd never got back to being that person ... But for you I'm going to make an exception" - This hit so hard.

What I like about this scene is that Denzel is not just some killer out there - he is a learned and civilized person of the society - someone who is well educated - read books - a good human being but can also kill - a nightmare for bad people. You add all that and see this amazing character - I enjoyed all the aspects of his character.

When a man's first words are "He's not coming back" while handing you a pair of your bodyguard's bloody shades on your dinner table. You might be in over your head.

Could do an entire movie of just Denzel talking to the camera & would be better than the majority of movies made today, He is one of the few actors that holds your attention every second he's on screen

"But for you....I'm gonna make an exception...."
The best line in this scene.

"He's not coming back"
4 very powerful words.
Especially when you drop a personal item on the table from the guy whose not coming back.

5:32 I dont know if anyone else caught this but if you look really closely or slow it down, when Denzels character asks "what do you see when you look at me" and the camera pans over to Nikolai, its subtle but you can see that Nikolai's entire expression changes, his smirk fades, his eyes widen and his body seems to stiffen, all of which are signs of tension and fear. Its little things like this that make this movie so f*cking good!

That was smooth how he threw the “lint/bottle cap” thing back in his face 😂😂😂

Denzel Washington and Marton Csokas are both spectacular in this movie, they compliment each other on every encounter and carry the movie with their scenes

4:46 both are assassins, yet they both showed a mutual respect (in a strange way), with the "thank you" and "you're welcome". sooo cold, yet sooo smooth lol!

i dont know exactly why, but i really love the 2:24 "stop me if you know this one" - " oh, no, carry on" - "ok" .... it signals to me that these two despite the situation they are in and the conflict they have with each other still have manners and respect (in some form) for each other

Nikolai had an excellent poker face but you could still see the subtle sign of fear as he relaxed his face when mccall asked him what did he see. he acted his part well. didn't seem too fearful on the surface as one would expect not only from his position as a mob boss but also to his character, but with very subtle cues you could see he felt fear and what he saw in front of him, was death.

'When you pray for rain, you gotta deal with the mud too.'

He has a point.

Teddy sits with his back against the wall so he can see everything that's coming. McCall faces the wall because he's prepared for anything that's coming and it doesn't matter what they send.

🗣 "he's not coming a lowkey gangsta line that was overlooked.
