In my engineering degree tier list video where I talked about the best engineering degrees this was one of the degrees that I mentioned. You don't necessarily want to go for the highest paying engineering degrees because engineering majors already make really good money. If you're going to go to university and get a college degree in engineering, realize it will be extremely rigorous unless you're a genius and for that reason it won't be for everyone. But if you can do it you should choose the best FOR YOU, the one that fits YOU the best, because most engineering degrees are good overall.

It’s a great major if you’re willing to have several mental breakdowns in order to adapt to the difficulty of the course in the first two years (it also gets harder later on but you’re just numb to stress by then).

The reason electrical engineers make such good entrepreneurs is that they are able to identify gaps in the market, because they have an understanding of what people want to buy and what is possible to create. They are generally able to figure out how to develop the product on their own and then all that is required is to create a sufficient business model around the product. Its why I decided to pick electrical engineering as a student.

Ironic. Before I received my EE degree, I was a parking lot attendant. You are spot on for job satisfaction.
I am retired now, but I was very satisfied with my decision to study for this degree.
Yes, it was a difficult course of study and there were a lot of drop outs. But the work was always interesting, if a bit stressful, and financially rewarding.

I just entered a two year program at my community college for my AAS in electrical engineering. I changed my major in the health industry after getting a job in the semiconductor business that really sparked my interest. It’s terrifying yet exciting moving forward with this. Great summary. I've been a power engineering consultant for 8 years now with a focus on electrical distribution systems. The pay & benefits are very good, and there are plenty of job opportunities. The work is fulfilling and interesting. Travel opportunities are good. One of the better decisions I've made in my life.

U honestly have to approach engineering with the attitude and confidence that if you can do it you can do anything else in life. It’s one of those obstacles that proves u lived a life worth living. Stress, doubt, humiliation, humbleness, grief, happiness, fulfillment all wrapped in one package.

I’m going to take Electrical Engineering this year I’m really exited to learn more abt it, I am aware that there will be hard test, stress and hardships but that’s not a good reason not to take it. I have friends and family that I’m thankful for that will help me get my stress relieved and I think that is the most important thing everyone needs when choosing a harder career.

The one very advantageous aspect of EE, is that after your bachelors in it you can pursue further ECE and CS in your masters.
