Like many of you fellow pickleball addicts I have spent a lot of time trying to learn from youtube videos. I’ve seen most of the content creators. Tony and CJ are bar none the best. Their three pillars of pickleball makes so much sense. Watching this video has already improved my game and I haven’t even been to the courts yet. Pickle on!

Being fairly new to the game I make all the mistakes you highlight. Time for a reality check and some humble pie. Great video. Thanks.

Love #2 Less is more! I think a lot of us fall into this category... For me its the placement of my soft punch. Thank Tony!

This is solid gold. I'm participating in their TPS at this time. It's requiring a complete restructuring of my play and mindset. I've been stuck for years as an inconsistent 3.5. For the first time, I believe their path will get my game to 4.0. It will take a lot of work because I've imbedded so much poor shot selection and execution into my game over the years. Being a stubborn fool doesn't help either but their training is slowly sinking in.

Great tips! I will be concentrating on these 5 tips, one at a time, until I lock each, singly, down, then move on to the next tip. Thanks, Tony!

For tip #5 to do higher 3rd shot drops... I've noticed when I do that the ball bounces higher giving them opportunity to drive it back over the net rather than dinking. Any tips on high to do a higher 3rd shot drop to avoid the net, but also avoiding the higher bounce?

Great tips. So much truth to amateurs trying for too much on every dink or drop.

Can you do anything about turning 70 and being stuck? 🤣

Q: Tip #5 makes good sense but hitting a lob-type serve seems to directly contradict Rule #4. If that type of serve is hit, you're immediately giving up the net to the opponent. That type of serve needs to be hit deep.

You missed a use case....banana serve. Serving from the right side its fun to pull someone off the court or push the net player off the middle with a banana that looks like its going to hit them then drops in.

tip number 5 what if the opponent is tall and has length? Couldn't he or she just smack that ball in the air?
