Doing a lot of Meadow's at the moment and they're great, DB rows have built much of my back, cable rows are great when I want a heavy finisher

Maybe you can do one for quads?if you never did already

Slice a tennis ball & place it on end of a barbell and it makes a great landmine alternative for meadows rows in a small space home gym.

I love pull-overs, did a lot of them growing up.
For a long time I've been doing bilateral DB Rows supported by a low incline bench, pulling to the upper chest/armpit. Last week I substituted one set pulling to the hip instead and I only got half as many reps, dang! Felt my lats, though.

I run a sequence where I start light, do one snatch and 3 overhead squats, add 10 pounds, repeat. When I miss I go to 1 clean and 3 front squats, add weight, repeat. I do feel my back from this.

Putting the bar down under control is a good habit that I don't usually think of as an exercise. We used to learn the clean first, since we had no rack, just cast iron from a concrete floor. We had to put everything down slowly. Over decades every habit of movement adds up, including this one. To develop control practice control.

I agree that Seated Cable Row is highly underrated

I always do one-arm rows, seated cable, dumbbell, Hammer Strength ISO Lateral machine. I get a better range of motion with full extension and pulling all the way back to my hip. I use straps as well for the heavy stuff. I find one-arm versions take pressure off my lower back.

DB rows are my fave back exercise, db rows are legendary.

Trap bar rows. Gives you a neutral grip and plenty of room for a full rom without the bar hitting you

I think machine rows are sort of underrated, if you have access to a machine that fits you. They're bit hit and miss. I'm fortunate to have access to a decent chest supported row, it's been lighting up my back lately. When the lower back needs a break, that's a good choice, and it's very hard to cheat.

Ive kinda taken your advice on db rows that are very heavy and maybe need a little "cheat" off the floor but holy shit my back is getting stronger bc of doing those for 4 sets of 6 maintaining overall good form and control

Oh the dirty looks I get from the booty squad for doing inverted rows in the smith machine. People use our TRX area for bag storage...

In the age of optimality mambo jambo everything except fancy biomechanics exercises and machines is unworthy ;)

Can you please do a traps focused video? To help us fellas on team no traps?

Yates row (but double overhand with straps) is one of my favorite back builders right now. It's been putting a lot of meat on my traps. My other go-to's are weighted neutral grip pullups, anything deadlifty (RDLs, etc) and cable rows. Gotta earn that barn door 💪

Finally someone talks about inverted rows!!!! I love doing them weighted with my feet elevated. All types of grips are amazing and do them wide grip for incredible rear delt gains
