As a toddler mom with a minivan, I left my whole vehicle locked except my trunk that I was using to unload my cart of groceries, and I'd unload the child the same as the groceries, just kind of gently tossing them in the trunk (which they thought was hilarious) and they were very happy because they got to climb all over the tops of the seats to get into their seat.

As a baby mom, I never went anywhere without my husband, and if immediately take the keys, lock myself in the vehicle with the trunk open and my husband loaded groceries while I buckled kids

The sticker is a great thing to have so people know that there's a child inside and lessen some car accidents. And your solution for the baby napping are either lock your cars or have another company that's a little bit older(big brother/sister or your husband) to watch the baby. I don't know how some people can be comfortable leaving their babies alone by themselves specially in public space.
