Welcome to another episode in my Ultimate World Coin Search series, a group of videos where we unbox a half pound of mixed foreign and world coins from all over the world! For this series, I bought some world coin lots and then paid a lot of extra money to supplement it with a better mix... and it certainly has been showing! There has been a good amount of silver, older foreign coins, and really cool countries that I haven't seen coins from before. Hope you enjoy this series of videos as much as I did while I was making it!

The ‘61 Katanga 1 Franc and 5 Franc coins are some of my favorite! The state of Katanga was an unrecognized breakaway republic from the Congo!

Some nice coins, Christian! Your 1/4 rupee definitely has some numismatic value.

A story to another 4er coin: During the Great Depression Chancelor Brüning wanted to slow down the price increasing. So he tryed to repleace the 5 Pfennig coin with a 4 Pfennig coin. The action did not work and this attemp brought the Chancelor some jokes (the coin itself was called "Brüning Taler". That referenced to the fact, that 4 Pfennig coins were last common during the pre-decimal times of the Taler currency in the 18 hundreds).

I don't think they should get rid of pennies. They are really fun to coin roll hunt, and they are not expensive.
