I believe that round piece w 2 slots is called a sconce, a decorative piece that had a flat piece of leather thru it, ,,,check tandy leather co catalog.

Really great to see a show out of New England, I am in Sullivan County , live off grid 18plus ysr on a class 6 rd, that the revolutionary soldiers walked thru .from charlestown to Concord.
