Maybe it's just me, but it looks like he applied a bit of inside (left) english to the first shot and hit the second shot dead center on the cue ball.

Your cue angle is well off from each shot. The trust shot you out right hand soon on which would have pushed the 1 ball to the right.

Do you always cue up off line before you push though back onto line watch as the tip goes to the right and the rear of the cue goes left when pushed though the first shot went to far but the second went straight

Only if the table is as wonky as yours. I can play shots at any pace on my home table and they roll straight

The aim point is incorrect to begin with y'all. You cant aim your cue at the contact point, it has nothin to do with speed if you are aimed wrong. The balls are 2 and a quarter inches so you have to aim your cue tip(center of cueball) one and an eigth of an inch away from the contact point IN LINE WITH THE TARGET. Yes, speed has a throw effect on an object ball, but learn to aim properly before moving on to throw...
