ImgBurn is a freeware program. I use it all the time to burn PS2 .iso images. Today's tutorial shows you how to use the program to burn a PS2 .iso image to a CD-R. Enjoy!

I have a problem with create image file from disc, every time when I try to copy the image from a disc it only gets to 4% and it says W 19:48:49 Failed to Read Sectors 48864 - 48895 - Reason: The semaphore timeout period has expired. can you please help me to solve t his problem?

Anyone who is here now. CDs are read at 24x and DVD is read at 4x
So those are the speeds you need to write at to have a correct copy.

While burning DVD5 PS2 game isos is fairly easy, burning DVD9 PS2 game discs is quite challenging. Sometimes, you may getting errors when burning with IMGBurn and even sometimes disc burning seems only working with DVD Decrypter. It's kinda hit-&-miss where you have to waste at least 2pcs of blank DVD+R DL only just for getting the disc burned well and also booting well without issues.

I've got ps2 games in the format of bin/cue files. How do I go about burning these to be playable in my ps2? Yeah I've got it modded with free mcboot and I've got ISO backups to run but can't figure out how to burn the CD ps2 games properly. Do they NEED to be on a CD? Do I have to convert them to ISO first somehow? Any help is appreciated, please and thanks.

I've read people talking about modifying the iso file before burning. If I got the game file from an online forum, would I still need to do this? I'm trying to figure out why the game won't load. (Using Swap Disks, Verbatim media). Can I burn .cue (+.bin) file formats the same way?

2.) Will it be possible to do this entire process w/ a Mac? I realized that IMG Burn is exclusively a Windows app. 

3.) Will it be possible to also play an ISO game on the PS2 via USB?

when i burn the iso on a cd my ps2 tells me "not a valid ps2 disc" and when i burn on a dvd the game or more like the dvd actually starts but the screen is just.. black. the iso itself isnt damaged bc it works perfectly fine with an emulator on my pc.

Thank you! I haven't tried it yet, but if I have a modded PS2 and burn the ISO file into the DVD-R using the method provided here, it should work. Right? The PS2 will read it just like any game (I'm trying to burn GameShark, btw, I don't know if that makes a difference).

Wondering if someone could help. What does operation fail mean when you're reading a disc? I recently started messing with IMGBurn and I've encountered an operation fail followed by an average read rate is this normal? Is my disc damaged? It doesn't give me any retry options it continues as normal after that. Just wondering what that means.

and what if its 2 GB or 3 GB?? 
i always burn with 4x and i don't know, some games work other don't
