1st use Sony component cables.
2nd that converter is trash. It will look better on a tv with component inputs

I just hooked up my ps2 to my 4k over the weekend. Had to hook it up directly to the TV instead of the frame meister because my TV actually has a better scaler and input latency than frame meister. I wasn't expecting that.

You might want to keep the composite cables cause you can play ps1 games on it, and I'm not sure they’ll work on component

I’d also suggest Scart cables if you’re from Europe. It’s the best quality video you can get from a ps2 outside of upscalers and HDMI mods
