The definition for free will is all wrong. Freewill is simply the ability to choose willingly or unwillingly of that which is in front of you that you are aware of and that is it. As described online it states that free will is the ability to make a decision without any external influence that's not possible we don't exist independently of anything in this realm SFH

I have never been uncomfortable with determinism lol. And like Chuck said i would also change pretty much nothing if you made me consequence free. Id probably try and up my status a little bit, since my parents are both rich successful and important and i have achieved absolutely nothing but aside from that i am happy, i feel loved, valued and supported, etc etc.

I also don't think its necessarily bad for humans to be ultimately meaningless specks of dust on a random rock in an infinitely expanding universe growing faster than light in all directions

But then again, i guess i didn't choose to be happy, or to be okay with these things, any more than other people chose to be depressed & crippled by existential dread

People are forced to think and do the types of things that their type of genetics and their types of life experiences program them to think and do throughout their life. Who and how someone happens to be is an extremly unfair unjust lottery that is dependent on what type of genetics they happen to have and depending on what types of life experiences they happen to have throughout their life.

The free will speculation is subtle larifari at its finest. Do you have free will? In other words: Could “you” have “decided” differently or even “wanted” to decide differently? Of course you could (assuming the terms quoted are adequately defined 😁).
         Intuition says that you can choose and act differently. And as long as everything else remains highly speculative based on fuzzy assumptions (except in Kochen's “free will theorem”, where all assumptions are mathematically well-defined 😁), common sense follows intuition.
         We don't even know what consciousness is, let alone free will. And so the statement “The will is not free” is pure syntax. It says nothing more than “X is not free.” 😆👍

i think logic freewill makes sense, but look at the NFL for the past 7 yrs they have been 100% correct in choosing the 2 teams be in the superbowl every year before the season would start. an this is a sport where injuries is high which can effect the outcome of a season...the year when the Phi eagle chosen to be in the superbowl an win it... their main QB was injured but their back up played better than tom brady for one season... the next season played like sht again.... this is a sign that there is a higher will that likes playing games with ppl
