There’s also a mostly reliable idea where you point a flashlight on the “lid” of the case. Make sure its dark though. Original airpods have machines inside the cover of the case. Fake airpods mostly don’t

Step 2 get in your car and go to and apple store
Step 3 buy the air pods from the apple store
Step 4 now you have REAL AIRPODS
