I got a chance to take the 70-200 for a spin today and it's a MUST BUY for working pros, period end of story. Trust me, this is an AMAZING LENS!!!

I'm so excited for the 70-200mm Z. I like my old RF 70-200 but the throw and external zoom are very annoying while shooting against a fence at the racetrack.

It's nice to see Canon finally start catching up to Nikon with their 70-200 internal zoom. Not sure what Jared's talking about zoom ring for? I thought he had big muscles?

Since I already own the Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens and its already black, I would get the 70-200 in white, just so I don't mix them up if I'm in a hurry.

I've always noted the pro lenses by the red ring. I've associated the white lenses as their telephoto pro lenses. I would get the black one as well. Good choice Steven.

The 70-200/2.8 was for a long time my goto lens ( I owned all the EF versions at one point in time). While I share some of the drawbacks of the "old" RF version, I really like its size (its fits vertically in my bag and thus allows me to add another lens). Since having bought the 100-300/2.8, I use the 70-200/2.8 much less (typically when weight and size are an issue, eg. when moving around a lot). Therefore, to me the advantages of the "new" 70-200/2.8 are no longer sufficient to switch (without the 100-300/2.8 I am not so sure).

Choosing between black or white really depends on how you're using the lens. Personally, I still own and use the "magic drainpipe, " and you only make the mistake of leaving it uncovered outdoors on a bright, sunny day once—it heats up so much, you could practically fry an egg on it! That said, I prefer black for its subtlety, as it draws less attention.

I would get the 70-200 in black because I have an old EF 80-200 f/2.8L "magic drainpipe" and it reminds me of that.

I like the white more but black wont draw as much attention so I will probably go with black. Not anytime soon though, I rather get the 50 f1.4 first.

Once, I started shooting with the 24-105 2.8. I was constantly saying why couldn't they make the 70-200 an internal zoom just like this lens. A few weeks later, here we are. I guess I'm going to have to sell my 70-200 to get the new one lol.

I have quest 3. I use it once a week but I love it :) Borrowed it to a couple of friends and 3 of them both Quest 3 instantly ;)
