Alright, now coconut milk isn’t really milk. It is, however, a liquid found inside the meat of ripe coconuts. Don’t be confused, coconut milk isn’t the water that pours out of the coconut when you crack it open. Instead, coconut milk is what you get when you blend and strain the meat of the coconut.
Among the many benefits of coconut milk is the fact that it’s full of a really good-for-you fat called lauric acid – a great source of energy for your body once it’s processed.
I personally love the natural sweetness and creamy richness of coconut milk. It’s not hard to kick milk to the curb when you’ve got these great substitutes. You’ll forget you ever used to drink milk from a cow.

I will take the coconut milk option with a pinch of salt. Definitely will only do IF is coming for local markets and is just fresh made - the ones you buy in a can or brick they put maltodextrin, fillers, sugar and chemicals to preserve shelf life.

Hurray! 🥳
I happen to love cocunut. The coffee is always black when I have it, cause I can’t consume casein. Black is good, and so is variety. But I would NEVER use sugar. 🙅‍♀️That garbage does sometimes come in disguised as tapioca starch. Or other in other disguises.

So read the labels. I stopped buying a particular one, because they use that. Can’t remember the brand at the moment, but always read the labels guys. That’s super important. And never have sugar in the pantry. It doesn’t belong in our kitchens 😉

Organic heavy cream doesn’t contain lactose. Use that instead of coconut milk for a more dairy flavor type of creamer.

Would a little A2/A2 whole milk be ok to add to coffee in terms of the polyphenols? I do add a little cinnamon which tastes great in coffee.

The vast majority of northern Europeans are not lactose intolerant, 90% or more of the people of the British isles and Scandinavia can digest lactose in adulthood.

What about soy milk? I used soy milk for coffee as well as almond and oat too.

And does soy milk have lectins? I understand that the vast majority of them are destroyed in the cooking that they do in the factory ; and the soy yogur? is fermented, ,and I also seemed to understand that the translation is not good, that almond milk is not good either, is that right? There are some other plant-based milks that can be taken that are beneficial, since I don't like coconut milk at all, thank you very much

Hi Dr. Gundry,
I use MCT powder in my coffee when I don't drink it black.
I wish you would have mentioned inulin powder and allulose.
Are those also as good as mct oils for adding to coffee.
I believe some of the guests that you've interviewed in the past have suggested it but I don't recall you mentioning it.
I understand they are beneficial but do not know if they counteract any of the health benefits to coffee by binding to the polyphenols.

Would blending A2 YOGURT with freshly brewed coffee, block the benefits of Coffee and Yogurt. Just like in the case of milk?

I ate pasta with halved tomatoes with the skin on and seeds in at a restaurant. How do I "detox" the lectins and feel better??! I didn't want to send it back and waste food, so I reluctantly ate it and have regretted it now for 3 days. I vomited and I've had an awful stomach ache since I ate those tomato skins.
