U.S. President Joe Biden has visited Ottawa for the first time since assuming office. David Akin looks at his address to Canadian Parliament, the ice-breaking moment, what his trip accomplished, including the deals he struck with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and how Ottawa residents reacted.

Two special guests were in the House of Commons for Biden's speech: the two Michaels. The salute to Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor, the Canadian men who spent more than 1,000 days detained in China before being released in September 2021.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is speaking in support of Toronto MP Han Dong, who is at the centre of Chinese influence allegations. Two separate national security sources also say Dong advocated for the delayed release of Michael Kovrig and Michael Spavor. Mercedes Stephenson reports on what Trudeau had to say.

Could not watch Trudeau and Brandon sniffing each other and congratulating themselves on how they share their values, the rule of law and democracy in Yugoslavia, Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, Syria, Venezuela, and hoping to work together to give some to Ukraine, Iran and China moving forward.
