Bro went at it w the gasket maker, pretty sure you don’t need that much, and that can cause oil passages to clog… I have seen most only put the rtv on the main side of the block where you have the one orange and 3black rings. Other then that good video got my like

This is awesome, I'm building a stock EJ25 right now and your video is a huge help. Just a quick question - I saw that you have assembly lube on the back of the crankshaft before you installed the rear main seal. I have the shortblock assembled and about to put the rear main seal in, but I was wondering if I missed a step to lubricate the back of the crankshaft.

Mann, you break down how to put this ej25 back together. I love it. I'm getting all my parts for my ej22, and once I do, I'll be doing my rebuild. I'm want new rods, pistons, everything new. I dont want any issuesfor awhile. I'm excited to rebuild my subaru engine.

Dude, I am doing this engine for the first time in my life. I have gotten the engine all the way down to splitting it, but am feeling a bit intimidated by it all. Everything's going okay so far. You make it look so easy, and hopefully this video will get me up and running. I am planning on putting the original pistons in from the cylinders they came out of. Question... I did not set the timing before i disassembled the engine. Shouldn't I be able to turn everything to the timing marks, or as close as possible before head install?
