Yes and no. It isn’t really as detailed as you would be led to believe especially in cars that are ten years or older, the recorder is part of the cars CAN bus system which in most cases is an extremely slow network, giving info such as “gas pedal was pressed more than 50% at a low speed”, “emergency brake was applied”. I should totally check the telemetry data on a Toyota I bought used recently now that I think about it. I’m curious as to how detailed the newer cars are.
