Thanks for the instruction. You made inside corners look much easier to caulk, but I've decided not to have any so I don't have to caulk them.

Definitely adding that to my trick bag - I've often used a drywall knife to remove some of the buildup but how to smooth it after was elusive.

Ran into a situation where it became necessary to caulk a sliding glass door frame in a corner.There was a substantial gap between the frame and the wall in places… causing a draft and water entry issues. When combined with a textured wall…. It was almost Impossible to caulk and have a crisp and precise line. A video on such an issue would be interesting and helpful. Not all caulking jobs are on nice even smooth walls.

Can you do a video on fixing crappy open miter joints? Had my flooring replaced and the installers left a bunch of shoe-moulding with open miter joints in the corners.

Have you ever heard/seen/met Silicone Caulking Tools, Sealant Finishing Grout Scraper Tools ??? It is 5 bucks and has stainIess stiII corner and rubbery profiIes to scrap and wipe aII these imperfections without your fingers and withour knife in duster things.

As a professional caulker for 20+ years a few things. 1st you always tool caulk, if you don't tool it you're not sealing anything. 2nd fingering caulk is a last resort, yes he makes it look nice but you want to keep it off your fingers. Buy some tooling knives and learn how to use them. 3rd pull the caulk gun towards you, never push the gun as you'll get buildup at the tip and that will makes a mess.
