The fact that prison felt like freedom to her should help shed light on how abused and tortured she was with her mother. I’m so glad that people are supporting her. Shes going to make a big difference in this world

The story of gypsy is crazy. The fact she felt freedom and joy in going to prison really sheds a light on how horrible she got treated and the both physical and mental abuse she went through. Hope she’s going well ❤

I’m so glad that the prison she went to gave her the things that she needed. She got an education, a social life, a job, and even a husband 😭🫶

Still baffling to me how the doctors have never been held accountable, like who does surgery on a child just because of what their mother says ???

I feel like medical personal is partially to blame for what happened. They should never have taken Gypsy's mom's word for it

So many people failed this girl, health professionals, who should’ve known that something wasn’t right sooner failed her, I would hate to be one of those people who found out that they were complicit in Gypsy’s abuse and Dee Dee’s lies

Amazing, the way her Dad didn't try to help her. Couldn't even be there at Parole Hearing and to meet her at The Prison. Oh I forgot about his schedule.

the fact that she can articulate so well and she seems very put together and intelligent is really something given what she has been through

I just read the story, I'm just shocked and I feel SO bad for her. The fact that she even got 8 years in jail and STILL felt safer in prison than with her own mother was insane. Her situation is basically like a hostage and kidnapper situation, just modifying a few things...God bless her!

Those pictures that were shown while she was explaining how the feeding tube procedure is performed, broke my heart and had me tearing up. Her mother and the medical field failed her so bad. How could any doctor overlook this? They should all be fired and have their medical license taken away if you ask me…

Gypsy saying her first day of prison was freedom just crushed my heart 😢

What I can’t comprehend is with so many hospitalizations and medical care, how was it that no medical professional saw this for what it was and report suspicions. I feel the medical community failed her as well.

How did that many drs not see this?? All those tests require results for surgeries. I don’t understand.

I worked for awhile in the psychiatric wing of a women’s prison. There were several women who felt like Gypsy did in prison. I remember having conversations with several women who were like, “I am safe here, I’m fed, I’m free to have my own thoughts and friends” things like that. I always found that so incredibly sad that their outside world was more of a prison than actual prison. Poor Gypsy. I wish her story hadn’t involved violence towards her mother, but whew… the things that woman did to her!!!! 😡🤬

The doctors should be held responsible as well it ridiculous to not have confirmed any of these illnesses without test or further inquiry. It’s the system that’s screwed up to!

That’s really wild. You gotta imagine how her life was when she was actually happy when she got to prison and finally felt like she had freedom. Finally off medications and able to walk and everything, she could be herself for the first time in her life. Thats truly insane.

I grew up an abused child and I read a lot of books about healing from it. Across the board most victims wish their parent would die because they can't find another way to escape.

Her father (and stepmother) acts like he didn't fail her. Didn't seem sus that he is not allowed to talk to her alone even on the phone??? No visits, nothing. She's soooo sick yet he had zero interest. No mother would be let of the hook like people let him off. What a failure of a father. Mother could be so abusive because no one cared. Not even medics . The most insane case ever.
