When Gypsy was arrested, she said to the cop she can’t go to jail because she has a lot of medical needs, she didn’t say this because she was lying, her mother’s control was so bad to the point that Gypsy really thought sick with so many diseases. The only thing she knew that wasn’t true is the muscular dystrophy because she can walk.

People say Gypsy shouldn’t be in prison because she was abused and manipulated her whole life. Although I partly agree, I do think prison is good for her. Not because she deserves to be locked up ~but it teaches her skills that her mother never taught her. It helps her with socializing, working and ultimately how to be independent. She says she likes it and people are nice to her. She’s also engaged to someone else rn so I’m very happy for her and I think she’s where she needs to be to move forward in life.

Watching the scene of her crying in the mirror after her teeth got pulled was so tough to sit through. It really captured how dark her reality was and made me feel so much sympathy towards her. Joey king did an incredible job portraying that scene.

Gypsy has expressed in two interviews that I’ve seen that she regrets killing her mother in that she has remorse. But she has also said she felt like she had no other option to get away from her mom. I full believe that she was the victim here. No Dee Dee did not deserve to be murdered, but gypsy did not deserve the abuse she was put through. The only upside to what she did is that once she has served her time she will have a semi normal life
