800 Stars Just Vanished Mysteriously

A group of researchers from the Vanishing and Appearing Sources during a Century of Observations (VASCO) Project compared data from 70 years ago to data from today to determine how the sky has evolved. So far, the survey has yielded more than 800 missing stars, many of which are yet to be processed and analyzed in depth.
