To celebrate 10 years of Launchpad, Novation have released the Launchpad X, a powerful USB MIDI controller for Ableton Live.
Picking up where the Launch Pad Mk2 left of, and borrowing some features from the flagship Launchpad Pro, the X features a new slimline, low profile design, but with the largest pads ever found on a Launchpad, so they're perfect for expressive playing.

Other new features include an expressive note mode that allows you to play drums and pitched instruments, record and capture MIDI functions, 4 user designable custom pages allowing you to tailor the layout of the pads to suit your project and other customisation options such as LED brightness, velocity and polyphonic aftertouch settings. Just got mine and loving it. Granted im new to music so i can only use it with Superpad Lights plugged into my androids but it makes it instantly accessible. Sadly Unipad hasnt been updated in years and neither of mu devices connect to launchpad x despite a popup prompt when plugging in

Launchpad X could work as a USB MIDI class compliant compliant device? Could i use it with an ipad, or with an hardware Synth with a USB host interface?

is there not a usb driver for Mac??? I can't see my launchpad X on any USB outlet on the Mac and when I go to install the driver its only for windows. HELP
