I think that Pochita is actually the death devil = fear of none existence (AKA being erased)...
Death may have made a contract with the original chainsaw devil to merge so she can hide her presence since her sisters want to kill her, thus the hero of hell was created and it explains why the chainsaw devil of all things is so much more overpowered than everyone else.

The four horsemen falsely believe that they are drawn to chainsaw man because of his power alone. They're fulfilling the prophecy without even realizing it.

I never really understood the Hero of Hell's erasing ability. If he earses something does it just wipe people's memory about it or does history get rewritten. Also what would happen if he ate the "devil" devil. Wouldn't all devils disappear?

Nothing to prove this, but:

Chainsaw man has nibbled on War.
Denji had nibbled on Control.

No confirmation on Famine and Death being nibbled on. But it would be on theme Poochita has nibbled on.the 4 horsemen in the past.

I imagine, his erasure ability was gained from Nibbling on death in the past. As he gained Erasure after eating a bit of Death, he did not erase death.

Death is one of the few Devils it makes sense to gain Erasure from existence from.

Much like Devils from season 1 gaining a power up from Gun bits, CSM gained one from Nibbling on Death.

4:40 I don’t know I just think it’s attachment to power and aki in particular, was just stronger and came at a different point in his life. than his relationship with nyutah mostly because his relationship with power involved love and sacrifice, Denji’s not able to resonate with Nyutah the same and Aki’s slow turn around into cherishing him and power is not present with Denji Aki in a seen enabled him to act like a child and absolved him of responsibility for the past 10 years Denji was worried about food being on the table, concerned about whether or not he was gonna be able to shower today, worried about how much money he was making for Aki eliminated a lot of those problems in allowed him to act like a kid again in a lot of ways, Denji was not responsible for a lot of things, that Aki was, Aki wasn’t so much, a father figure as he was a suto older brother/Uncle because on one hand, he provides too much is too mature to classify as an older brother, but on the other hand, the conversations him, and Denji have in the way they relate makes him inexperienced and life to the point where he’s not quite an uncle

His relationship with Aki power was an artificial, and he saw them die before his very eyes if fami try to do the same thing she’s failing because of two reasons

I don’t think anybody ever will treat him that way again Denji now being older realize is that not everyone cares about him like they did that’s not how friends normally are they are not that sacrificial or loving which is why when Miri tries to befriend Denji it’s taken sideways Denji’s no longer at a Point in his life were he’s going to accept any and every person that his friend he recognizes that he has value and is at the point of actually having a sense of self-worth this gets destroyed by Marky Mark rather quickly fami fails to execute a fast enough and does not take everything away from him Asa in Denji’s mind at-least was a possible relationship a distant one, but not impossible Nyutah being denji isn’t something that she has to accept, and if you can somehow mentally manipulate himself into convincing himself that she’s alive, even though she likely isn’t he can but he couldn’t do that with with aki/power he’s not given much wiggle room to avoid reality, his house being burned down, was just seen as an opportunity by Denji a opportunity to be chainsaw man he can ignore everything that’s happening around him because nobody’s bringing it to his attention that yo everything you care about is dying he can just ignore it and when the falling devil tries to bring it up, he just slices his brain open if you don’t make, don’t you look at it he’s not going to and he’s not going to turn into the hero of hell unless he hast to look at it. He was in disbelief when power died but when Makiyah walked him through that hallway, and he saw her body decapitated and dismembered he lost it because that was the first time it became clear that it was real
