The kicker is that Famine acts more like the death devil bc she literally sucks the life out of everything.
However another way of seeing it is that she's EATING their life force and adding it to her own.

Gotta say. The way author did this is rather clever. It's sort of like what Tabata did with Licht in Black Clover.

I love how his plot twists are so surprising yet there are little clues hinting to it all along. Notice how much influence fami has over devils. Devils such as eternity, falling, and guiotine all things that have something to do with death but not having control over aging, something that prevents death. The clues were there the whole time
