What is Shared GPU Memory in the Task Manager?

Shared GPU memory is the amount of regular system memory (DDR) that your computer sets aside when you run out of the faster memory (GDDR) from your dedicated or discrete GPU.

So, shared GPU memory is slower and it comes from regular RAM. Dedicated GPU memory is faster, and it is a special kind of RAM that comes with your GPU.

Wait a minute, my laptop have an amd integrated gpu, an amd radeon vega 3 (without any dedicated gpu).on the task manager, its shows 512mb of dedicated gpu memory (can be change to 256mb in the bios) and 1.7gb of shared gpu memory.can you explain that?

if I have 16gigs of ram and the gp doesn't currently take up the dedicated ram, can I still used all of the 16gigs of ram for other stuff or is it locked away in case the gpu needs it and cant be accessed?

It happened while playing god of war in my laptop which has 4gb rtx 3050 graphic card. So now, the game is using system ram by default and the game performance is decreased from 70 fps to 20 fps please provide any solution for this

Bro have you seen that new laptop with Intel i9 14gen. Hx processor performance is very low as compared to last 13gen hx processors. Why? 🤔 As I have seen last gen processor gives in cenebench r23 score 33, 000 and now lastest processor of Intel gives only 30, 000 score. Is new 14gen CPU are scams?

Hello! I have ryzen 3200G with integrated graphics Vega 8 2 GB and 16GB RAM DDR4 3200 mhz. In task manager show Shared Gpu memory 7GB + dedicated 2 GB.
This Shared memory is used just for memory video or also can be used by another program Windows If the program need more RAM?
