“I choose to believe the Bible because it’s a reliable collection of historical documents written by eye witnesses during the lifetime of other eye wittinesses. They report supernatural events that took place in fulfillment of specific prophesies and claim that their writings are divine rather than of human origin.” - Voddie Baucham

I get your point brother. However, I believed in Jesus as a child, because I felt his love first. The evidence I sought came later, as an adult. Both experiences were as strong as each other. Praise Yeshua.

Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.

I have Cold Case Christianity and I'm waiting for Person of Interest to arrive, but this video made the point of shortening everything down so we can make a case for the Bible and our Faith based on the Bible in only 5 points. That could be very useful. God bless you J as you carry out the Lord's work. I caught one of Jimmy's videos and loved it too.

Man, I need to follow this guy. I have lost my faith. I still believe, but barely, and I don't go to church because of several reasons..., and I used to have daily devotions, had dictionaries, concordance..., really studied. Then life started happening and I just started to question so many things and some of the stuff sounds ridiculous. 😐😒

What is blowing me away is that the Bible responds to the challenges of the Age. Initially practically with its links to Jesus and his direct ministry through his example, his miracles, his knowledge of people and the reality of the Judaic traditions. Then increasingly theologically as the church father clarified the tenets. Then philosophically through the ages as man became more intellectually inquisitive. And now forensically as we seek to more fully understand the justifications in an era when Jesus and the Church are under widespread derision and attack.

It keeps revealing it’s profundity nature through its ability to justify its legitimacy.

This chap is showing new ways to bring a discernment to studying the Bible. Being able to assess in a modern cynical, overly intellectual age to deeply analyse the factors surrounding the narrative and writing of the New Testament

There's not enough time to tell a lie? 33-45 AD has a difference of 12 years. What were you doing 12 years ago? Do you think it's been enough time for someone to write down in a personal journal of theirs a lie about what you were doing 12 years ago?

As a law graduate, I approve of this message. May I also add a concept which is related to your 1st reason. In the laws of evidence specifically the concept of res gestate which refers to a former exception to the hearsay rule for statements made spontaneously or as part of an act. So basically, if the the witness told a different person about what happened, that other person cannot be asked to present his testimony because it is hearsay. Now, the different witnesses themselves present their testimonies immediately thereafter the startling occurrence so it's admissible in court. Secondly, granting that the witnesses themselves cannot be present in court, the persons they conveyed their message to can still testify because a startling occurrence has just occurred.
