Since the entire Bible is God’s Word, all the doctrines it teaches are interconnected. In this clip, R.C. Sproul explains how systematic theology helps us understand how it all fits together.

Dr. Sproul’s teaching series What Is Reformed Theology? is available to stream for free on Ligonier’s YouTube channel. Watch and share all 12 classic messages using the link on this video.

There is nothing more freeing than knowing that, before the foundation of the world, God chose me from the mass of fallen humanity to be one of His treasured possessions forever. Salvation is of the Lord, and He didn’t merely make it possible—He has done everything necessary to ensure it. There is nothing more freeing than knowing that the love Almighty God has for me is so powerful that nothing and no one can separate me from Him. I find it hard to understand how some people miss the beauty of Reformed Theology.

I was blind but now I see. It was God who blessed my sight and enabled me to see Christ Jesus our Lord . I did not deserve His grace yet freely He gave. May He be forever praised for He is Worthy of our worship and praise and His steadfast love endures forever.

First time in my life I hear that the reformers thought it’s not gracious enough, how strange ….in spite of that I am more than happy and thankful because of God’s graciousness for sending Jesus to us

As my old WWlI uncle used to say. Mercy.

Absolutely correct.
Sadly, some view what scripture plainly says as not fitting with their “lived experiences” with God and who they “know Him to be”.
Could Ligonier please post a vid addressing our experiences vs the Word of God?
(I’m not saying that reality is ever incongruous with the Word)

God gives his Grace to everyone. God calls everyone to him, because God desires all men to be saved. However, that same God also allows us to reject him or come to him for a time. As long as we persevere to the end, we will be saved.

Let's not mention those folk that God supposedly decided NOT to visit with his Grace.

I don’t think that is why people feel that way about Reformed soteriology. I love Dr. Sproul… but that comment seems a bit disingenuous to me.

The reason people object to Calvinism is the underlying teaching of Divine Determinism: that, from birth, there are those for whom there is no salvation because they were created to be “vessels of wrath.” For those people, there is no hope since they were predestined for destruction.

That…is not gracious at all. For those who are elect, sure, we rejoice in God’s grace; but what about those who cannot be saved because He simply has not chosen them? Where is the grace for those people?

Sproul now knows Augustine was in error and he had a lifetime of leading people away from the truth. Sproul is now praying in Heaven that his lies will be revealed.

"Reformed" means "man-made". I'll stick to Jesus, thank you very much.
