That rehab is called Sierra Vista. I lived just up the road from it. Years later I was back stage at a Ringo show and hung out with Barbara for awhile, chatting. When I mentioned Sierra Vista, she blushed and asked how I knew. I explained that the locals always knew, but respected the privacy of those trying to find a better path. She was a very nice lady

Very similar to me and my love’s story. Except when we found each other, we were already far gone and when we got together, we both decided to help each other get clean and that we did. We both have 3 years clean and sober, free from heroin!

It wasn't a tragic addiction, no one died and no one ended up like Syd Barrett or Peter green, it was sad like all addiction but Ringo got a a second chance and got it right, great drummer good guy

The doctor told Ringo when he was 50, that he had a body of an 80 year old man, from the years of alcohol and drug abuse, he cleaned up and now at 82, he's reversed his aging process and now probably has the body of a 40 year old.
