I was 13, living in India when there was a giant hoarding in my hometown of Varanasi one day paying tribute to George. I remember the media hype around his family coming to Varanasi for interring his ashes into the Ganga. In death we are all equal, the excesses of life laid aside. Rest in peace, George. Gone but never forgotten.

Not many people could go up against Lennon and McCartney and win. But with Here Comes the Sun and Something, George did just that. What a legend.

He lived at his fullest, full filing dreams, and died peacefully in privacy as he desired.
So painful to see he was attacked in the middle of the night and stabbed plenty of times.
Thanks for all the explanations related to cancer.

I know a few people who died from lung cancer. In every case, there was almost NO warning. My M-i-L felt great on Sunday, thought she had the flu on Wednesday, died on Saturday. A dear friend only discovered the cancer during an x-ray for a dislocated shoulder....died a month later. Another older gentleman was in a car accident and slammed into the airbag. As a precaution, the hospital took an x-ray...bam...he died within a few weeks.

Everyone diagnosed terminal should have the option to pass away at home in their own bed. I'm glad George got that option and was able to pass peacefully. Rest In Peace George 🕊️

Dr. Hunter, great name. Dr Sleuth. I wish more doctors were this thorough. My dad was a surgeon who did 3x the number of renal transplants most of his colleagues were doing. They bugged him about why and was he saving up for a solid gold coffin. Er no, I believe saving people's lives was his passion. He was very frustrated near the end of his life a few years ago, at 86. Oh Dad!!! Stubborn mule didn't have a single wrinkle on his face. He looked about 50 at that age. Weird, huh. I am so jealous. It's unfortunate he lost touch with the outside world at times, I mean in practical terms. RIP wherever you are. 😇😇

My mum was only ill about 3 months from starting with bronchitis, to a mass being found in her ovaries. I cared for her till she went into hospital for her last week, she had a chest drain fitted and the doctor said she was riddled with cancer. She wanted to come home but I couldn’t have her home with a chest drain and it was still fitted when she died and it was still draining

The Beatles are real legends and Icons. Todays celebrities can never reach the level of their talent. All four of them were so talented that they would have been stars in their own right. George was always my favourite from his first Song ‘ I need you’. He was fantastic whatever he did.
