The film showed how CLOSELY he listened to ANYTHING being played around him and instantly began contributing a beat and ADJUSTING that beat as he heard one of the other three experiment and alter what they were trying to achieve. If you were sitting in a room trying to quickly stumble on to a song, there was NO better drummer to have in that room than Ringo, who could do exactly that for HOURS effortlessly and develop perfectly suited drum parts to support the song.
