This 100% dead on the money. Working on my legato and timing with my fretting hand has improved everything.
My picking hand is fast, fluid, and locked in, but my fretting hand still needs lots of work.

I came to a realization recently. Sometimes it’s my pic hand. Sometimes the fretting hand. Sometimes it’s both. Depends on the pattern and string crosses

Does it matter that I can pick only fast with my fingers resting on the scratch plate? When I try to do with my hand just resting on the bridge the pick starts getting caught on the string and my hand keeps changing the height of the pick
