This was definitely Reeves’ best work. I was still pretty young when it came out, but it is sure one of the most epic love stories in my lifetime. Jane Seymour also made an amazing mark in this film. Such a beautiful, elegant actress and still is today. RIP Chris Reeves.

Such a great scene by both actors....her yell of " Richard !! " touches your heart bc of the desperation of seeing the one you love taken away then seeing that person again when all hope was lost just hits your heart like bolts of lightning. ....
Then Richard says " are you thought I lost you?...
He sounds like a little boy and she sounds like a little girl when she says " never, never, never
Like two young kids falling in love for the first sounds so genuine and that's why its such a great scene.
Yea I get teary eyed in this scene..lol

Very touching scene to me- I am awaiting the reunion of my deepest and most endearing love I have ever known. Her name was Kerry O’Neil and she left the Earth on 12/1/1993 and I will wait for her for eternity if it takes that long. I love her with all my heart, mind, soul, and her whole past, present, and future. May God bring us together as soon as it is possible.

Wow. Normally I don’t cry during movies but something about this movie, and this scene in particular, definitely made me cry. This probably had to be one of the most emotionally powerful, romantic fantasy dramas of the 1980s. Jane Seymour was so beautiful in this movie and so talented. Everything about this scene just screams cinematic perfection: the music, the scenery, the way Elise screams his name, how Richard’s face lights up when he sees her, the way they run towards each other and up/down the stairs, how they embrace and kiss each other, etc. Such cinematic and artistic perfection! Definitely an under appreciated film and I would definitely call it a cinematic masterpiece of the 1980s.

The person, who travel through time to be with his love, thought to be lost, was found.
Only to lose your love again to time.
