Social distancing, plexiglass dividers and facemasks are just some signs of the ways Americans' lives have changed because of coronavirus. But are all these changes for good? Correspondent Mo Rocca talks with restaurateur Lidia Bastianich, New York University psychology professor Adam Alter, and plastics manufacturer Russ Miller about whether we’ll return to the “old normal.”

I've been retired for the past three years. I'm already living the 'new normal' - no alarm in the morning, so I can sleep late. Not being around people I don't need to see anymore. Doing what I don't want to do. Now we have a 'new' new normal. I'm afraid to leave my apartment. I don't know how long before I'm able to see my sister again. I'm even going to have my groceries delivered. Who knows when things will changed for the 'better'. If that's the right word to use.

There is no normal, change is the only thing that is consistent.

One of my former classmates posted on Facebook, something to the effect stating, "The next person to say 'new normal' to me will literally get a punch in the nose."

I refuse to believe that this is the new normal. Like everything, this will pass and we’ll all go back to the way things were. I don’t think anyone wants to live like this for the rest of their lives.

So the new normal included riots, looting etc and thats okay. This is pathetic.

It will continue because fear is driving people to accept it and forget how to live.

No, I am only willing to wear a mask for a short time and not the rest of my life.

Plastic dividers at restaurants might be a relief. Being packed in like sardines and not being able to hear ones dinner companion are frustrating. Would be interested to see how these will work for sound.

It’s really sad that people are already calling this the new normal like you gave up already...there is nothing normal about this. Don’t accept it.

I remember watching as a kid on Sesame Street: "This is your life".😀
Times have changed!

And yes, I'm going to miss the peaceful walks without crowds everywhere, the clear roads, less trash all over the place, people NOT breathing down our necks for a change whenever we stand in line or sit somewhere, and just the tranquility. I could list more, but, you surely know. 😀🌺
