This is the new normal - and we are going to have get used to it. That was the message from Dominic Raab today, as he said the current level of deaths in the UK meant social distancing remained vital for quite some time to come.

Despite pressure to give details of an exit plan, the Government has insisted it is far too soon - and that includes the Prime Minister, who will be back at work tomorrow.

He apparently quoted Cicero: the health of the people should be the supreme law

It's the people who need cancer surgery and other life-extending procedures that I feel for. They are simply being put to the back of the queue and its unacceptable.

The importance of going for a walk can never be underestimated. The scenery the smell of the grass and trees even a walk by the beach, the smell of the sea the fresh air of open spaces. In lockdown these are important elements in people's lives. Important for their mental health and well being. The need to generate vitamin d from a walk in the sun is helpful in off setting depression. Let's hope this lockdown comes to an end soon

If we live like this for the next 20 years we can solve the climate emergency.

But there WAS a test and contact tracing strategy in place in the UK at the beginning of the outbreak. The question is: what happened to that?

Has the reported also visited people, living in crammed flats, without balcony’s in built up areas, being shouted at via loudspeakers and camera surveillance. So stressful! This would ruin my immune system. What a nanny police state! Feeling really for hard working people who re struggling every day.?! These people, living in remote swish places, no ordinary family can’t afford should be glad!!
