My great great grandfather was in the Christmas truce as a British officer. He said that it was the happiest day of his life and that he wouldn’t change anything about it. I’m sad i never got to meet him. Rest in peace great great grandfather, you’ve served my nation of Britain well.

Context : During World War 1, every countries attacked each other same thing happened when The Germans attacked British the soldiers we're not ready to Attack them actually the soldiers never wanted a great war they we're forcefully pushed to the war. so when Germans we're going to attack Britishers, Germans and the Britishers notices that nobody is near them and nobody is seeing them and they tried to keep a good bond and a great conversation and Germans tried to speak English. This beautiful incident happened on 24 December 1914 on the Christmas eve, the German soldiers were mostly Christians some of them were atheist and some of them were jews and the Britishers are all Christian. German and British soldiers were planning for a long time to do something crazy when the politicians are silent and they celebrated this Christmas truce.
Actually European Politicians were celebrating Christmas and Soldiers also tried celebrating it with German soldiers.

The truce was kinda like that the people in charge send people to fight for them, the truce saw to put anger, fear, hate beside them and recognize that they are humble humans with feelings.
