These TV hosts don't mention the biggest problem with dynamic pricing, which is the possibility of a price going up after you put an item in your shopping cart. States should ban price changes during open hours unless you are notified at check out and asked if you approve.

Nothing quite like jacking up the price while its sitting in someone's cart. Greed is driving this nothing more. People should stop shopping at these places while we can still make them hurt for their decisions.

What I worry about is something like a hurricane, and now fresh water costs 50 dollars.

This will take more labor and not less as customers complain that the price on the shelf is different than is ringing up and the employees need to investigate.

I shop at Walmart, I am blind, those are not going to help me. I use a app on my phone that allows me to read the paper tags. It does not read electronic tags or LED screens. I wonder what the ADA will say about it?

Anyone who believes that Walmart won't use dynamic pricing has never encountered the brand. They already underpaid their workers to the point where many of them are on welfare, and it's not like their prices are reliable, anyway. Things cost twice as much in the store as they do online, despite the fact that it's more work for them to get it delivered to me than it is to let me come in and purchase it where you already have it.
Walmart will be using this to gouge customers on necessities. Not even a0 question. Try Aldi's or Sav-A-Lot. Better prices, and less predatory.

As a Retired Mgr of a large corporation the main reason is price accuracy. With this system, the price you see at the counter will match the Register. Counties get complaints about accuracy all the time and when they come to your store to test that, they usually find inaccuracies and can hit you with a fine. This technology has addressed that issue. The only thing that will mess it up is when some customer or employee moves the price bar to a different location. Hence the person who still has to scan and verify that the ticket pricing is in the right spot...

So you put something in your cart and the price could change at checkout.

For Walmart: may work for 2am or 3am price change only during those hours. Just change prices daily if at most. Changing prices every hour or twice a day can be breaking a promise to the customer; especially if there is an advertised deal.
My recommendation, price changing between 2-3 am (local store hours) and only really change it daily if supply bottlenecks happen, otherwise weekly on or between the slowest known shopping days for that store. (typically Wednesday-Thursday.)

This video indicates you don't need a high IQ to be a good investor, just 2 qualities, self discipline and a lot of patience. Investing is mostly about behavioral psychology. How can I generate more income to retire with at least $3m for long term care?

We have had dynamic pricing online for years now. Every e-commerce merchant can change prices on a whim, yet no one seemed to worry about that. I guess it becomes more noticable and personal when it happens in real life at a store.

There's no "may" about it. They know it's bad p.r. to admit it right now. But it's coming. Until we start boycotting businesses and voting with our dollars for this kind of stuff they will keep doing this kind of thing and more.

They criticized Harris for bringing up price gouging, but she is correct to do so.

What a dumb idea. Just how Walmart regrets self checkouts. These digital price points will cost a lot of money to install and more money to maintain. The biggest hurdle as a customer is the items are always in wrong spots. Also their app allows you to check price. Come on Walmart! Technology is not always your friend.

Soon robots will stock shelves, no cashiers needed, Uber/doordash robots delivering groceries. To think our grandparents thought the world was lazy once remote controls were invented.
